Changes to Medio Terms and Conditions and Data Processing Agreement from 01.09.2024

General information

The Medio GTC will be changed (updated) with effect from 01.08.2024, which will enter into force for our contracted partners in accordance with paragraph 5 of clause 2 of the GTC on 01.09.2024.

The reason for the change is that the Medio system has been extended with a number of new modules, the descriptions and rates of which were not previously included in the General Terms and Conditions. These have been replaced and some clarifications of concepts and interpretations have been included in the renewed document. 

Below is a detailed summary of the points where we have made changes to the GTC.

    Definitions

    • Some definitions have been clarified to reflect new services and modules
    • Compensation of the Setup fee from monthly fees will be abolished

    Rights and Obligations of the Parties

    • Exclusion of liability of the Service Provider has been clarified
    • Clarification on the handling of personal reservation data

    Using the Medio system

    5.1. Subject of the service

    • The scope of the service has been extended to include patient management, patient care and billing services
     

    5.2. Online appointment booking module

    • The free medical fitting system will be discontinued and will be based on individual fees
    • The Medio mobile app will be phased out and discontinued, from now on only a single mobile app will be available
     

    5.4. Filter package module

    • The name of the module has changed, it is now available as Combined Booking module
     

    5.6. Laboratory module

    • Expansion of the Lab module services to include sampling and sample submission
     

    5.9. Access control system

    • The access control system has been redesigned and implemented as a patient call and management system with enhanced functionality
     

    5.12. Video consultation system

    • The way calls are recorded has changed, and from now on, audio and visual video consultation material can be recorded at the Partner's individual discretion and with the patient's consent. 
     

    5.14 AI Chat module

    • AI Chat module added as a new feature that can be integrated into the website
     

    5.15 Self Check-in module

    • Self Check-in module added as a new feature
     

    5.16 Automatic AI callback module

    • Automatic callback added as a new feature
     

    5.17 Medio HIS module

    • A new feature is the Medio HIS module to manage the entire patient care
     

    5.18 Other Integrations - Medio Market

    • A new module added to Medio is the integrated collection of micro services, where a number of services provided by external service providers can be accessed and activated. 
     

    5.19. System doctor service

    • The System Doctor service for individual doctors will be phased out and discontinued

    Fees and accounting

    • Compensation for the Setup fee has been phased out and abolished
    • Updated the availability of records to support monthly invoices, which can be accessed by partners after logging in to the Profile - Invoicing page in the Medio admin interface

    Miscellaneous provisions

    • Clarification, correction of spelling mistakes
    • Clarification of data management

    Annex 1 - Information Notice on Data Management

    • The range of data processors has been extended

    Annex 2 - Medio system charges

    • New features and modules have been added to the fee table
    • Extra Support fee introduced as a new element
    • Clarification of the basis of settlement following investigations transmitted through traffic channels

    Data Processing Contract

    • In line with the new modules, we have expanded the range of data processors with new partners and service providers to whom Medio transfers data for processing when using each module
