GENERAL DESCRIPTION
Blocking appointments helps to optimise the operation of healthcare facilities by minimising empty periods and making scheduling more efficient. Institutions have the flexibility to adapt their booking system to their own needs, increasing efficiency and patient satisfaction.
Setting the block resolution
There are three basic types of calendar blocking, each with its own advantages.
- Filled from the bottom
- Filled from the top
- Adjusted to first date
How to set them up per test can be selected and modified to optimise the doctor's calendar. All this is Investigations -> Edit available via the menu item.
IMPORTANT: It is also possible to specify the number of dates displayed on this page, which will determine how many bookable dates will be displayed during the block booking.
The blocking hides only patient-side appointments, for internal (admin-side) bookings all appointments are shown.
HASZNOS TIP: It is advisable to use the same blocking method for all examinations of a given doctor.
Types of gaskets
As mentioned earlier, there are several types of blockchain available. This makes the doctor's calendar even more customisable and can be arranged according to your needs.
Filled from the bottom
In this setting, the calendar always shows only the next available dates. This is useful if the doctor wants to quickly fill the first available appointments and encourage patients to book as soon as possible.
This example shows a bottom-loaded calendar setting that displays 3 free dates (i.e. the 3 closest ones per day):
IMPORTANT: If an appointment is booked in such a case, the next available appointment will appear. Example:
- 09:00
- 09:30
- 10:30
In this way, the patient can be encouraged to book the earliest appointments and keep their booking times intact.
Filled from the top
This option displays the last times within the given day. This is handy when the doctor or institution wants to focus bookings for later hours, for example when there are administrative tasks or other pre-planned activities in the morning.
As in the previous example, you can see a calendar setting that shows 3 free dates, but in this case it is loaded from the top:
All the rules apply in this case, just as they do for a bottom-up calendar, so for a booked date, the next "Previous" time will be displayed.
Adjusted to first date
In this case, the system will show the next available dates according to the first booked date. In this case, the number of appointments to show will work both ways. So, before and after the first booked appointment, free appointments will be shown, depending on the setting.
If there is no reservation for a day and this blocking format is set, all dates will be displayed.
As before, the example shows 3 dates:
In this example, a reservation was made 12:00-so you can therefore see before and after 3 dates as free to book.
