Preliminary data request

GENERAL DESCRIPTION

Advance data requests are becoming increasingly important in healthcare institutions, as they give patients the opportunity to provide the information they need in advance. It improves administrative efficiency and increases patient convenience, reducing waiting times and contributing to a positive patient experience.


Activating a preliminary data request

The preliminary request for data is sent to Institution settings menu item to activate it.

With this option, all emails confirming the success of your booking will include the option to upload data in advance.

Operation

The basis for the preliminary data request is linked to the setting of the data set assigned to the survey. For data groups, you can set which data the institution requests from the patient during a booking. In addition to these, you can specify which data are required during the arrival process in order to perform the examination.

This information can be provided by the patient before arrival at the institution, speeding up the check-in process.

Data group setting

The data sets are Patient treatment -> Data groups menu, where you can create and modify data groups for each institution. More detailed information can be found HERE.

As you can see in the picture, which information the patient is required to provide at the time of booking and which additional information is required on arrival.

Booking and data upload in advance

According to the above mentioned data group setting, the following data are mandatory for a reservation:

After filling in this information, if the booking is successful, the confirmation email will give the patient the opportunity to fill in the missing information in advance, which should normally be filled in on arrival at the institution.

By clicking on the link in the email, the patient will be redirected to another page where they can fill in other information.

As you can see above, on this page, the patient only needs to enter the data required for the appointment, all the data previously entered are already filled in and cannot be modified here.

Once saved, the booking card in Medio's system already contains the data provided by the patient at the time of booking and during the preliminary data entry. This means that no further data entry is required at the time of arrival.
